
Zurich was the starting and the end point of my Black Forest road trip (read about it here). This short stay was full of beautiful scenes, walks and flavours accompanied by the nice weather and the elegance of a swiss city.

The Old Town
Here beats the heart of the whole city. A mixture of history and culture, offers iconic landmarks, buidings of unique architecture, great shopping experience and cozy cafés.

Art & Culture
St. Peter Church
It is the oldest church in Zurich. Its clock tower face measures 8,7m in diameter (the largest clock face in Europe) and contains five bells.

The Grossmünster
This romanesque style church is one of the four major churches in the city. It is most recognizable by its twin towers.

Fraumünster
On the opposite side of the river to the Grossmünster this church, which historically was inhabited by the female members of the aristocracy of Europe.

Activities & Entertainment
Zurich Lake
It is the fifth largest swiss lake and has great water quality. One can choose among many activities in this area such as sailing and swimming but even just a walk alongside the lake bank is equally fulfilling.
